This role is a highly visible and integrated member of the organization, responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations and administration, as well as coordinating with internal staff members across all levels and departments of the organization. The HR Coordinator will assist in various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and compliance. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, fluid environment.In this role, you will...HR Administration
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee data.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • With direction from the Chief People Officer (CPO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), deliver and assist with training and program/policy development.
  • Assist with the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries, as well as the annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Coordinate with benefits providers to resolve issues and process claims.
  • Provide administrative support for HR initiatives, special projects, reports and analysis, etc.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper documentation and approvals for payroll process
Recruiting & Onboarding
  • Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Work closely with hiring managers and hiring teams to ensure a smooth interview process and a positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation sessions and the preparation of onboarding materials.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed, processed and filed accurately.
Performance & Development
  • With direction from the CPO, deliver communication to staff regarding feedback processes, performance review cycles, and individual goal-setting.
  • Support the coordination of staff retreats, training sessions and employee development programs such as safety, IDEA, leadership development, etc..
  • Maintain training records and track employee participation.
Organization & Culture
  • Serve as a trusted partner to managers and employees and facilitate communication and/or elevate employee relations issues as necessary.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the organization through building relationships with all employees, contribute to the delivery of an annual Engagement & Inclusion survey, and enact changes to help the organizational culture evolve to support the needs of the workforce.
  • Take a design-led approach to developing HR practices, ensuring that relevant decision-making is informed by experimentation, gathering feedback, and optimizing inclusive co-creation.
Ideal candidateRequired skills, abilities, competencies
  • Curiosity, empathy, and drive to understand and support others
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (we currently use Gusto), ATS (we currently use Greenhouse), Google Workplace, and Slack.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent work experience. .
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR support role or related field.
