Adecco has partnered with a Space Company near Sacramento, CA to hire a Full Time/ Direct Hire Human Resources Director.

Title: HR Director

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the The Space CHRO, and matrixed to the Defense Segment President,

this HR Director will partner with The and the Defense Segment leaders to strategically

provide thought leadership and deliver objectives on talent management, organizational

effectiveness, employee experience, change management, and employee relations. Success in

this role will require influential partnership with leaders across the enterprise to execute the HR

strategies that drive business results and organizational effectiveness. The individual in this role

must understand business priorities and translate them into an HR agenda that can scale with

business growth. Overall direction for this role for enterprise matters will come from the

The CHRO. Direct employment, employment matters, and direction for Defense Segment

matters will come from the VTS President.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals

and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. This position will oversee the

administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation,

disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management;

productivity, recognition, and morale; flow down training and development requirements.

· Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

· Strategic thinker with practical application of HR fundamentals; able to build and roll out

new practices.

· Knowledgeable in HR compliance, at state and federal levels, as well as for government

contractors.

· Confident thought leader and decision maker with courage to challenge others.

· Ability to think critically and use sound judgment when taking action.

· Results-driven individual capable of high-level execution and with a demonstrated sense

of urgency.

· Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible/willing to adjust as priorities and direction

change.

· Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions,

programs, and policies.

· Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough,

and objective investigations.

· Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of

employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

· Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

· Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching,

counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

· Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build

morale, and increase productivity and retention.

· Develops and maintains paperwork for new hires, promotions, transfers, and

terminations.

· Provides guidance and input on restructures, workforce planning and succession

planning.

· Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.

· Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

· Perform as a member of the Defense Segment Leadership Team, participating in

Executive Staff Meetings

· Gather significant, shareable information from the ESM and provide that to both The

Space and Defense Segment staff, publishing internal newsletters

Requirements:

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)

· Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required

· Minimum of 7 years of HR experience

· Minimum of 7 years experience in DoD / federal government contracting, FAR, DFAR,

and contracts regarding employment requirements

· Experience working with a highly technical workforce

· Experience resolving complex employee relations issues.

· Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation

practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and

state respective employment laws.

· Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferences:

· SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional

(SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.

· Experience with ADP preferred.

· Working knowledge of Unanet and Costpoint, preferred.

Salary Range: $ 140,000 – $200,000
