This includes managing leave programs, accommodations, and workers' compensation cases to support the well-being and productivity of our employees.In this role, you will oversee the administration of leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including New York-specific leave laws. You will manage the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation process, engaging in interactive dialogues with employees, managers, HR Team members, and healthcare providers to coordinate reasonable accommodations. - Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience in human resource leave administration with a mid to large-size organization

What you'll doAccommodation Administration:
- Lead the interactive process to determine reasonable accommodations for employees, ensuring they can perform essential job functions.
- Coordinate and manage accommodations across departments, ensuring compliance with ADA and New York State Human Rights Law (NYSHRL).
- Review medical documentation to assess and implement appropriate accommodations, ensuring medical requests are objective and substantiated.
- Maintain communication with employees, managers, and healthcare providers to track progress and resolve any accommodation challenges.
- Develop and implement best practices for the interactive process, serving as a primary point of escalation for complex cases.
Leave Administration:
- Manage leave processes to ensure compliance with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), New York Paid Family Leave (PFL), and other relevant federal and state regulations.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on complex leave cases, including parental leave, personal medical leave, and statutory leave entitlements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless operational transitions when employees go on or return from leave.
- Offer expert consultation and education on evolving leave policies and procedures.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Work closely with managers to align accommodation and leave processes with business needs and employment opportunities.
- Develop and propose revisions to leave policies and procedures in response to federal, state, and local law changes.
- Track and report on leave trends, providing recommendations to improve processes and ensure compliance.
- Facilitate communication between employees, managers, and People & Culture team members to promote timely returns from leave.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records that comply with HIPAA, NYSHRL, and other privacy standards.
- Partner with communication teams to educate employees on leave policies and broadcast important updates.
- Prepare and maintain templates, letters, and documentation related to leaves and accommodations.
- Ensure fairness, impartiality, and integrity in decision-making.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance transparency, consistency, and compliance.
- Stay current with federal and New York-specific leave laws and industry best practices.
