Job DescriptionThe Human Resources Generalist II supports the business unit by implementing and administering human resources programs or policies. Provide day-to-day support in human resources services, which includes recruiting and staffing, administrationof compensation and benefits programs, training and development, employee, and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity complianceThis position will serve the Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.Responsibilities
- Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Assists in the development and implementation of HR plans, policies and procedures for all organizational personnel.
- Manages employee relations to create and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Assists with recruitment and selection processes, including interviewing.
- Facilitates onboarding and offboarding processes, including new employee orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
- Monitors career-pathing program
- Addresses employee relation issues, including complaints, harassment allegations and any other concerns ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Maintain HRIS records, ensure compliance with timekeeping accuracy and policies, conduct turnover analysis, and provide support for FMLA and leave management.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- 2-3 years' exempt level Human Resources Generalist experience
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.
HOW TO STAND OUT:
- Master's degree in human resources management
- Broad knowledge of human resource management principles.
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
- HRIS system experience with such applications such as Oracle HCM, Oracle ERP, Kronos.
- Experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing environment.
