Human Resources GeneralistLocation: Menomonee Falls, WIJob Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary resource for employees and managers related to one or more functional HR areas; develops reports and analyses as required; recommends action within HR and/or to employees and managers; provides proactive resolution of employee concerns and problems with goal of future problem prevention.
- Researches, analyzes and develops recommendations for continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions to meet needs: assists in the implementation of new or revised policies and procedures.
- Delivers written communications and presentations to communicate concepts related to one or more functional HR areas for diverse audiences of employees; develops and conducts training and presentations.
- Manage the recruitment efforts for hourly, exempt and nonexempt employees, students and temporary employees; may conduct new-employee orientations.
- Proactively partner with managers to identify and develop talent within the assigned business; coach employees and managers, as necessary, in the individual performance and development process to achieve career goals.
- Partner with business to manage employee relations issues such as Performance Improvement Plans, investigations, disciplinary measures, etc.
- Work with managers and the Compensation team to ensure total compensation for the business is competitive. Identify, facilitate, and resolve compensation and benefits issues quickly.
- Supports outsourced processes, such as, FMLA/LOA and Workers Compensation providing feedback when issues arise along with solutions.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading project of varying scale or scope.
Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of human resources functions and a specific function within HR.
- Strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize and manage multiple, complex projects, potentially with conflicting priorities; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Good communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees.
- Demonstrated skills in employee relations with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and use sound judgment in decision making.
- Solid computer skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum three years related professional, progressive experience in human resources setting; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
