Our workplace is highly focused on teamwork, efficiency, quality, and safety.JOB SUMMARY:The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.DUTIES/EXPECTATIONS:Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, and continuing education. This includes OSHA safety training and anti-harassment training.Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verification's.Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations.Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, and leave (FMLA, Disability, Paid Family and Workers Compensation); disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, and other benefits.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Assist as a backup in processing the weekly company payroll.Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records.Continuously work to develop skills / knowledge and complete all training required by the company.Be a team player, communicate clearly and respectfully and maintain a positive attitude.Be dependable, reliable, and consistently perform high quality work meeting company production standards.Create a safe and hazard free work environment; follow safety protocols and report any risks.Perform other duties as needed / assigned.Adhere to all company and department policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS:Work Experience:At least 2-3 years of human resource management experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills:Proficient use of the Google platform (Sheets, Docs, Forms, etc.) is preferred.Experience with Paylocity HR & payroll software strongly recommended.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.Certifications:PHR or SHRM-CP a plus.Education:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.At least 2-3 years of human resource management experience preferred.Must be of legal working age and eligible to work in the U.S.WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Works indoors in a temperature-controlled office and may be exposed to loud sounds, hazardous chemicals, and equipment on the production floor. Must have the ability to bend, lift and carry up to 15 lbs.; sit for extended periods; complete repetitive tasks; operate computers (dexterity, bend, stretch, reach, climb, crouch, etc.); and communicate effectively.*Reasonable accommodations may be available upon request.
