HR Generalist
Reports to: HR Manager Location: Latrobe, PA Type: Full-time
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or requisite experience
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification helpful
Primary Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly manufacturing positions
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies
- Screen, interview, and select qualified candidates
- Coordinate and conduct pre-employment screenings and background checks
- Manage job postings across various platforms
- Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS)
Onboarding and Employee Relations
- Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs
- Ensure smooth integration of new employees
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues
- Maintain confidential employee records
- Support performance management processes
Compliance and Administrative Duties
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Assist in maintaining HR policies and procedures
- Manage employee documentation
- Support workplace safety and training initiatives
- Process new hire paperwork and employment verifications
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with benefits administration
- Support annual performance review processes
- Conduct new hire orientations
- Maintain accurate HR metrics and reporting
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Adaptable to fast-paced manufacturing environment
