HR Generalist

Location: New Hyde Park, NY possible hybrid schedule after 3+ months

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team in New Hyde Park, NY. Reporting to the HR Director, this role will help manage key human resources functions, including payroll, benefits administration, and recruiting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and a passion for fostering a positive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Payroll Administration: Process and oversee biweekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Address and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollments, renewals, and open enrollment processes. Serve as the point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and troubleshoot issues with providers.
  • Employee Relations: Support employee engagement initiatives and handle employee concerns with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Compliance & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. Assist with audits and reporting requirements.
  • HR Support: Provide guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures. Collaborate with the HR Director on strategic HR initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of corporate HR experience, with experience in recruiting, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
