We are currently seeking Human Resources Generalist to support our office in Saratoga Springs, NY and our operations in multiple states across the country. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding new employees, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This includes handling employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and compliance.

Job Duties

  • Facilitate HR strategies and initiatives that align with organization goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to leadership on human resource matters.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the HR team and across the organization.
  • Monitor HR trends and best practices, ensuring the company stays competitive in its approach to talent management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts, ensuring fair and timely resolutions in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Conduct regular employee surveys and use feedback to improve workplace policies and programs.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate administration of company benefit programs
  • Promote efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization, ensuring and inclusive workplace that respects and values diverse perspectives.
  • Develop and implement DEI initiatives, including training programs, diversity recruitment efforts, and employee resource groups.
  • Track key HR metrics, like turnover rate or employee satisfaction, to evaluate the effectiveness of HR strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular HR reports and updates to the leadership team on staffing, performance management, and other HR related matters.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee retention and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional HR Certification, like SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience in managing a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to inspire and guide the HR team towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals while maintaining focus on the human element.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Diligent, firm, and committed to upholding high ethical standards in all aspects of the HR function.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Must have the ability to work weekends or evenings on occasion.

Annual Salary Range: $60,500.00 – $70,000
