Corporate Resources, on behalf of our client located in Franklin Park, IL, is hiring a full-time, permanent HR Generalist.

HR Generalist – Franklin Park, IL

$60K-$75K Annually (based on years of experience) + Full Benefits, Bonus, PTO, and more.

We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and contribute to the overall success of the HR department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries and concerns related to HR policies, benefits, workplace issues, and other matters to ensure a supportive and efficient environment.
  • Assist with the recruitment process for all hourly positions, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and coordinating offers.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, ensuring smooth integration into the company culture.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives held each quarter within every department.
  • Complete assigned reporting functions, including tracking attendance statistics, turnover ratios, terminations, hires, and internal transfers. Provide insights to leadership on trends and potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate time and attendance records in the company's timekeeping system, ensuring timely and error-free reporting of employee hours worked, paid time off, and overtime.
  • Coordinate payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payroll for all employees, while working closely with the finance team to resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist in educating new employees on Human Resource policies, procedures, and benefits programs, providing clarity and support to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Perform general office administrative duties, providing support to HR functions and employees across various departments as needed to ensure efficient operations.
  • Possess a basic understanding of essential HR functions, including employee records management, compliance with labor laws, and confidentiality requirements in accordance with company policy.

Education and Experience:

  • 1 year of hands-on experience in a Human Resources role, demonstrating a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices. Strong internships will be highly considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
