Job Description :

Workers' Compensation Program Management:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the Workers' Compensation program, including claims reporting, investigation, and resolution.

• Manage a comprehensive spreadsheet/data tracker for all open cases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on claim statuses, timelines, and actions taken.

• Collaborate with insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and legal teams to ensure timely and accurate handling of claims.

• Monitor claims for accuracy, appropriateness, and cost containment, ensuring reserves are managed effectively.

• Attend all applicable hearings, whether mandatory or optional, to represent the company's interests and ensure thorough case management.

Safety and Risk Mitigation:

• Analyze injury trends and collaborate with branch managers to implement injury prevention strategies.

• Conduct periodic risk assessments and safety audits across light industrial, hospitality, and hotel staffing operations.

• Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff and temporary employees on workplace safety and injury prevention.

• Create and update safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state-specific Workers' Compensation laws and ensure company-wide compliance.

• Prepare and submit required documentation and reports for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

• Assist in the renewal process for Workers' Compensation insurance policies and coordinate with brokers to secure favorable terms.

Cost Control and Budget Management:

• Track and analyze Workers' Compensation costs, identifying opportunities for reduction and efficiency.

• Recommend and implement cost-saving measures, including return-to-work programs and light-duty assignments.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with branch managers, HR teams, and recruiters to address safety concerns and claims-related issues.

• Provide regular updates to senior management on claim statuses, cost trends, and risk mitigation efforts.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Workers' Compensation claims management, preferably within the staffing industry.

• Familiarity with industries such as light industrial, hospitality, and hotel operations is highly preferred.

• Skills:

• Strong understanding of Workers' Compensation laws across multiple states.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and risk management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Risk Management (e.g., ARM, CRM) or Safety (e.g., OSHA 30/OSHA 10).

• Experience with third-party administrators and self-insured programs.

• Knowledge of bilingual communication (Spanish preferred) to support a diverse workforce.

Travel Requirements:

• Ability to travel to branch offices, client sites, and event locations across the USA as needed (estimated 25%-40%).
