A candidate should have 5-7 years of human resources experience. The position provides the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team.Responsibilities:
- Conduct practice group staff support needs analysis and prepare ADA compliant job descriptions to ensure high-performing, qualified candidates are recruited for open positions.
- Manage talent acquisition to include conducting interviews and hiring staff members according to best practices.
- Conduct onboarding for all new office hires and communicate firm policy and procedures for consistent application.
- Maintain office efficiency by planning for and implementing staff assistance on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor staff time, attendance, and accruals.
- Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and documenting all staff performance meetings.
- Facilitate communication with HR Director on payroll/benefits/leaves of absence matters for all employees.
- Collaborate with firm managers to implement procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- College degree in Human Resources or other business-related discipline; or SHRM certification.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with NM employees and clients.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Law firm experience preferred.
