Job Description :

Dunham's Sports - a Midwest Specialty Sporting Goods retailer located in Troy, MI has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager. The Human Resource Manager will assist in running the daily functions of the Human Resource department, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

This is a full-time position that works IN PERSON out of our corporate office in Troy, MI.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department. Oversee and/or assist in the administration of workers comp, FMLA, ADA, and COBRA, 401(k), health and welfare benefits May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency and experience with HRIS or the ability to quickly learn company HRIS.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a tactful and diplomatic manner

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 3 years of human resource management and HRIS experience preferred.
