POSITION DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: Human Resources Manager

Classification: Exempt
Salary Range: $79,000 - $95,000 depending on experience
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSPosition reports to: Vice President of Human Resources
Positions Supervised: HR Generalist, HR Assistant
POSITION PURPOSEThe Human Resources Manager is responsible for a wide range of human resource functions including payroll processing, benefits administration, employee records, tax, insurance, and benefits reporting requirements, and ensures that all employee and payroll records and reporting are in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. The Manager of Human Resources will lead departmental efforts to continuously strengthen the employee experience and organizational culture by consistently being in alignment with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESEducation/Certification: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain within first year of employment.
Required knowledge: This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.
Experience Required: A minimum of eight years of experience in human resource management. A minimum of five years managing others within the human resource environment or related field. Prior experience in implementing new systems a plus (HRIS, Payroll, LMS, etc.) Previous experience in financial services a plus.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to understand and adhere to our Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Ability to effectively lead others to create positive outcomes. Conflict resolution skills. Read, understand, and implement actions based on policies and procedures. Must have excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in payroll processing and employee records management. Ability to learn new technologies and to support project management to implement new systems (payroll, HRIS, learning management systems, etc.) Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to clearly and logically present information to individuals and groups of employees at all levels of the Credit Union. Advanced level of interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with others in addition to maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Ability to project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
