Documotion Research, Inc. has manufacturing facilities in Columbia, TN and Santa Ana, CA. We make linerless, sticky labels that are used to tag drive-thru and to-go orders from national, regional, and local restaurants. We have grown our staff from 35 employees to over 100 employees in the last five years, and are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to add to our front office, and help us to manage our growing staff.
Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records
- Manage company medical, dental, and vision benefits, including on-boarding, updates, trainings, and changes
- Keep track of daily attendance, tardies, and absences, and the existing point system
- Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process, including background checks and I-9 verification.
- Be actively involved in mid-year, end-of-year, and intermittent performance reviews
- Conduct and disseminate employee surveys
- Support senior management in disciplinary meetings and grievance issues
- Manage termination paperwork and off-boarding
- Manage and track labor law rules, regulations, and posters in both facilities
- Work with Safety Manager to stay in compliance with safety & wellness programs
- Support the development and implementation of new and current HR initiatives and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, not required not required, but would be a plus
- Applicable HR Credentials a plus
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a compliance and/or safetyHuman Resources role preferred (some food safety experience preferred)
- Working knowledge ofUnderstand applicable federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations related to these programsto HR programs
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations including from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Intermediate proficiency with personal protective equipment
- Strong communication and intrapersonal skills
- Proficiency with HR Software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Paylocity platform is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Specific hours flexible.
- Based out of the Tennessee factory, and will need to travel to California facility 1-4 times per year

- Pay based on experience
