Housing the Northeast's largest robotic surgery center, committed to becoming the best in the country for patient safety and is pursuing that goal by taking innovative action and creating a culture of safety at every level within the organization.The Human Resources Representative provides support for HR processes and services at the Hartford Region and acts as a liaison between employees and the HR Service Center. This position has a special focus on orientation, onboarding of new hires that results in best-in-class colleague experience and outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:* Manage onboarding of new colleagues to ensure a timely start and to achieve a positive and seamless new hire experience* Coordinate all orientation activities such as working with all subject matter experts who participate in the orientation, present HR topics, continuously review content for relevance, measure success of orientation, obtain feedback on orientation and implement improvements. Serve as the main point of contact for questions related to orientation, onboarding and years of experience data.* Coordinate all processes related to contractor onboarding to include communicate with managers and maintenance of contractor data* Manage I-9 process and meet federal compliance requirements* Manage all aspects of employee file maintenance and postings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements* Assist in the collection and compilation of various HR metrics, reports and analytics* Act as a liaison between employees and the HHC Employee Service Center (i.e., KRONOS/payroll, benefits, compensation, central leave, talent acquisition)* Assist Employee Relations Consultants with policy updates, and publish revised policies in the appropriate electronic policy management system* Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and colleague experience. Learn and apply LEAN methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness of HR programs and servicesEducation:* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience:* One to three years of general business experience* At least 1 year of relevant HR experienceAdditional Requirements:* Advanced Microsoft Office skills; proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint* Working knowledge of HR related laws and regulations* Exceptional communication and customer service* Self-directed and motivated with the ability to prioritize* Strong problem-solving skills and process improvement mindset* Ability to uphold strict confidentiality of HR information* Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels* Ability to present in front of large groupsWe take great care of careers.With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
