From detox and inpatient rehabilitation, to outpatient treatment and sober living recovery homes, we provide those battling addiction with the roadmaps towards healing. We are licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services & Supports and accredited by the Joint Commission. MAIN FUNCTION:+ To assist the Human Resources Director in administrative duties related to human resources functions. Implement all personnel policies and procedures, maintain all personnel records, and administer all benefits.+ User role(s)/inform systems access as assigned, where applicable+ This position is classified as NonEssential for emergency closure purposes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:+ Implement any changes to personnel policies, procedures, employee manuals and various forms used by Human Resources in accordance with the written plan.+ Administer employee benefits.+ Maintain upto-date personnel files.+ Assist in the coordination of hiring new employees including notification of vacant positions, evaluating job applications, administer appropriate tests, coordinate new employee criminal background checks, drug screen and physical with Medical, obtain and verify credentials, licenses, education and references, perform facility orientation and process paperwork for new employees.+ Annually verify credentials, licenses, insurance, etc. of qualified health professionals.+ Monitor Medicaid exclusion lists on a monthly basis against current employee/consultant rosters.+ Maintain and update Seafield drivers list through NYS DMV program.+ Maintain and update Seafield Center, Inc. forms manuals.+ Prepare monthly Staff Growth & Development Calendar.+ Prepare monthly HR performance improvement monitors and analysis for submission to Executive Committee along with tracking of each department's performance improvement reports.+ Monitor evaluations to ensure they are performed in accordance with the written plan and to collect data on areas where staff require further training and coordinate scheduling of same.+ Keep abreast of changing legislation as it relates to Human Resources issues.+ Answer miscellaneous correspondence related to the department and provide direction and assistance.+ Perform other duties as assigned.COMPETENCIES:+ Knowledge of healthcare coverage, life insurance, worker's compensation, disability, 401K, Family & Medical Leave, COBRA, and other benefits for employees.+ Possess a variety of computer skills and level of understanding for computer software technology required to perform the job.+ Knowledge ofSeafieldCenter's human resources policies and procedures.+ Basic knowledge of legislation and labor laws as it relates to human resources issues.+ Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.+ Communicate in writing by producing correspondence and/or documents at the request of self or others.+ Communicate verbally in response to requests for information.+ Work independently with minimal supervision.+ Conduct research and analyze data as required to perform the job.+ Prioritize the workload and projects of self.+ Perform administrative functions of processing administrative paperwork required to perform the job.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree with a background in Human Resources; proficient in written and verbal communications skills; organized and detail-oriented. Must be able to adhere to confidentiality rules as most transactions are highly classified in nature. Two to five years experience in a health care facility. Must be professional in demeanor.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those functions that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.+ While performing this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.+ This is a largely sedentary role and involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required occasionally.+ The employee must have the ability to use a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, copier, fax machine, scanner and telephone.Full Time Position: Monday - Friday$24.00 - $28.00 #SJ2024
