MAU is hiring a Human Resources Specialist for our client in Greenville, SC. As a Human Resources Specialist you will provide payroll support, manage HR-related inquiries, coordinate internal and external hiring processes, assist with headcount and talent management, support HR initiatives, and contribute to ongoing HR projects and administrative tasks. This is a contract, long-term assignment.

Education and Experience:
- A degree in HR, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required, depending on experience
- 1-3 years of experience in HR, payroll, or a related field
- Prior experience with HR systems (e.g., Kronos, Workday) is preferred, but training will be provided
General Requirements:
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the HR field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with Smartsheet is a plus
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and stay organized
Essential Functions:
- Provide guidance and support to employees for payroll inquiries
- Collaborate with the payroll team to resolve payroll-related questions and issues
- Utilize payroll and HR systems, including Kronos and Workday, to manage payroll and employee data
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, assisting employees at the front desk with payroll and HR-related questions
- Manage internal job postings and coordinate the internal hiring process through Smartsheet, transitioning to Workday for external hiring
- Support headcount management, team data reporting, and talent management activities
- Assist with HR initiatives such as round tables, orientation, and employee onboarding programs
- Act as a liaison for HR-related communications, collaborating with leadership and employees as a content manager
- Contribute to ongoing HR projects, offering input and support in planning and execution
- Perform administrative tasks and assist with HR team activities as needed
