Role Overview:

A Westchester-based firm in the real estate industry is seeking a Human Resources, Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their HR team. This role focuses on payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR operations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll with third-party payroll administrator, ensuring accurate payroll, tax, and benefits payments
  • Assist with benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k))
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HRIS system
  • Support audit requests (SOX, Workers' Comp, 401(k))
  • Assist with performance review process (mid-year and annual)
  • Recruiting support: Post job descriptions, draft offer letters, conduct background checks
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Ensure compliance (I-9, E-Verify, HRIS setup, employee exits)
  • Manage logistics for summer internship program
  • Run ad hoc reports and assist with HR projects

Who They Want:

  • 2-4+ years in HR, any industry, with a payroll processing focus
