About the job HVAC Engineer 2 Key Responsibilities: The HVAC Engineer has a variety of responsibilities including:Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning design for industrial and chemical plants and related office facilitiesHeating and cooling load calculations. Reviewing and applying recent applicable codes and standards (i.e., Mechanical, Fire, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.) Engineering of dust and fume collection systemsPlumbing system layout and sizingFire protection design specificationOversees the production of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawingsInterfaces with other engineering disciplines and clientsPerforms field work by obtaining information, making field sketches, and verifying drawings Qualifications:Education/Experience:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree, PE desirable5 years minimum HVAC experience with minimum 2 years industrial HVAC experienceKnowledge of mechanical and fire codes and NFPA and ASHRAE standards AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, or Revit experience a plusEligibility Requirements:Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictionAuthorizes a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational backgroundSubmits to a drug test post offerPossesses a valid drivers licenseAccepts that this position may require some domestic overnight travel
