HVAC Project Engineer - Construction - Diamond Peak Recruiting : Job Details

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented HVAC Project Engineer to join our team in San Jose, CA, or Alameda, CA. This role supports the project management team in planning, organizing, and coordinating HVAC and piping projects to meet profit and growth objectives. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers and Project Executives with project assignments.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate with the General Superintendent and Project Foreman to integrate them into the company's overall schedule.
• Monitor and compare planned versus actual project schedules and costs, taking proactive measures to address any deviations.
• Prepare and track project submittals through the approval process.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with specifications.
• Collaborate with the Project Management Team to communicate project details to construction, engineering, and estimating personnel before work begins.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Up to 3 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
• Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, building products, construction design/details, and relevant regulations.
• Familiarity with construction management software.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management with excellent time and project management skills.
• Self-motivated with a big-picture perspective and strong organizational skills.

Compensation:

• Hourly rate: $45.67 - $55.29/hour, based on experience.
