Job Title: HVAC Technician III Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt

Primary Purpose:
To maintain all HVAC equipment and controls in all District school buildings, keeping them in proper operating condition.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Driving record that meets the requirements of the District's insurance carrier
* CFC certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
* Knowledge of hand tools and equipment, knowledge of the refrigeration controls, knowledge of basic electricity.
* Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
* Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
* Ability to meet deadlines and alter work priorities
Experience:
* Two (2) years work experience as a HVAC technician troubleshooting and repairing of HVAC Systems

* Demonstrate acceptable work habits including regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness.
* Report to work on time each day.
* Overhaul and replace semi-hermetic and hermetic compressors.
* Repair, calibrate, and replace electric and sold state thermostats.
* Repair and replace pumps, seals, and bearings.
* Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment, belts, bearing, fibers, condenser and evaporation coils.
* Repair refrigeration leaks.
* Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis.

* None
Sensory Requirements:
Ability to detect issues and perform troubleshooting needs by using vision, hearing, touch and smell.
