We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC technician to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a fantastic opportunity to apply your technical skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

As an HVAC Technician, your key duties will include:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating, and ventilation units.
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in HVAC systems, and replacing parts as required.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions to ensure proper installation of HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshooting and solving complex problems related to HVAC systems.
  • Complying with all safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and answering any customer inquiries regarding the installation or servicing of their HVAC systems.
  • Documenting service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

    • Qualifications

    To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an HVAC Technician or in a similar role in the engineering industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems, along with strong repair skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical instructions.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Physical fitness, as the role involves lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
  • HVAC certification or equivalent is a plus.
