Job Summary Hartzell Propeller seeks an HVAC Technician to operate, maintain and repair all equipment used for heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. The technician must be flexible to work any shift as needed to include night shift. In addition, the technician will have responsibility for all Hartzell buildings and could be working on equipment during inclement weather. The HVAC Technician will be part of the Maintenance and Facilities team and should be flexible to support the other members of the team with tasks which may include electrical, plumbing and other. This role does require working in high areas so the hired individual must have the abiltity to work from a ladder Requirements Key Deliverables 1. Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment and components to manufactures recommendation, i.e. valves, motors, belts, bearings, filters, and lubrication etc. 2. Perform scheduled inspections to ensure the HVAC systems are functioning properly. 3. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization 4. Finish and close Work Orders in the CMMS, and log hours worked along with materials used 5. Be familiar with the fire panels and respond to fire alarms systems. 6. Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner a. Follow proper safety protocols which includes wearing appropriate PPE and using tools properly to avoid injury and accidents b. Handle chemicals, refrigerants and electrical components in a safe manner, in compliance with regulations.
