HVAC Test Technician

Job Summary AboveAir Technologies is a growing local manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting electronic components and assemblies, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications. The Test Technician will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our products through meticulous testing and data collection.

Responsibilities • Assemble and fabricate electronic components according to specifications. • Demonstrate basic knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components, their use, and the proper operation of those components. • Interpret schematics to ensure proper assembly and functionality of products. • Must have basic industrial electrical knowledge to troubleshoot HVAC or environmental control systems. • Perform quality inspections to identify defects or issues in the manufacturing process. • Must have basic knowledge of different gases (R-134, R407C, R410A, etc.) • Document test results and maintain accurate records of inspections and findings. • Must be willing to assist the Test Technician II • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions. Skills • Proficient in assembling and fabricating electronic components. • Ability to use all appropriate test equipment including, but not limited to, meters, refrigeration gauges, etc. • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively. • Competence in reading and understanding schematics for electronic systems. • Ability to use all safe practices when dealing with electricity and pressure-sized systems. • Working knowledge of HVAC formulas used in sizing/selection of product and a complete understanding of psychometrics and the use of psychometric formulas. • Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
