The leader in the growing hydrogen fuel cell industry throughout California is seeking individuals with strong troubleshooting and technical backgrounds for multiple and immediate openings as technicians based at numerous locations in Northern and Southern California. This is a unique opportunity to work for a company at the forefront of the Electrical Vehicle Boom. You will be at the very beginning of a new revolution in the auto industry. Like all-electric vehicles, fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) use electricity to power an electric motor.In contrast to other electric vehicles, FCEVs produce electricity using a fuel cell powered by hydrogen, rather than drawing electricity from only a battery. This organization provides customers with retail hydrogen fueling for the next generation of vehicles powered by fuel cells.Position description:In this role, the candidate is a hands-on technician, servicing company equipment based throughout an assigned territory. The position requires a high-degree of safety performance while operating the company vehicle or performing maintenance at company field locations.- Provide a working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methods- Troubleshoot liquid hydrogen dispensers- Maintain a clean environment at each site- General repair and maintenance- Sample hydrogen gas for state regulationsSchedule/compensation/benefits:Southern California: Territory is 2-hour radius of Irvine, CA - Main office is in Santa ClaraNorthern California: Territory is Livermore to Santa Clara and Bay AreaTechnicians are provided work orders at the start of their daily shift and will spend 100% of their time in the field throughout their region. You will receive a company vehicle and required tools. You will be able to bring the vehicle home, but may need to go into the office to get supplies during the week as well.Shifts : Both territories start on day shift, Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, for 90 days of trainingSouthern California - Current needs on night shift - 8pm to 6 am (7.5% shift diff for nights) Northern California - Current needs days, swing shift and nights.(7.5% shift diff for nights)Base salary, plus 100 % of medical premiums are paid for you and your family.
