- Operating and maintaining the hyperbaric chamber and associated systems as prescribed by a physician.
- Monitoring patients in the chamber, including recording condition and ensuring comfort during treatment.
- Maintaining applicable operating, maintenance, and safety logs.
- Maintaining accurate patient records
HYPERBARIC OXYGEN TECHNICIAN PRN DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.EducationRequired: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be certified and/or licensed in one of the following vocations or hold a diploma from an accredited institution in one of the following professions to meet the minimum education and experience requirements: Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT), Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS), Certified Hyperbaric and Wound Care Specialist (CHWS), Documented Hyperbaric Medicine Training, Respiratory Therapist; Physician's Assistant; EMT or Paramedic; Military Corpsman; Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse; Nurse Practitioner; Physician or Physiologist; Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician.ExperiencePreferred: 1 year experience as a hyperbaric technician.
