Now Hiring an ID/OD GrinderJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled ID/OD Grinder to join our team on C shift, working 12-hour shifts with a shift premium. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating OD/ID grinders (Jones & Shipman or similar) to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner according to process documentation. The parts have 2/10ths tolerances and each piece ranges in cost from $3,100 to $4,600. This role includes operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously and correctly setting up jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner.ResponsibilitiesOperate OD/ID grinders to produce parts according to process documentation.Perform 1st piece, in-process, and last piece inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges, and CMM equipment.Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications.Perform operator maintenance and diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues.Essential SkillsCNC OD GrindingCNC ID Grinding3 years of CNC Grinding experienceBlueprint ReadingFirm understanding of machining center theory, including x, y, and z axis, along with edge and center line pickupAbility to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)High school diploma or equivalentWhy Work Here?Join a dynamic team in a job shop machining center for the aerospace industry.
