Job Title: Order Entry SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Order Entry Specialist to interpret and input orders into our computerized medication order system. The ideal candidate will meet the accuracy and productivity standards of our pharmacy. This role involves auditing input versus documentation, making corrections as needed, and maintaining current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service and assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
Responsibilities- Interpret and input orders into computerized medication order system while meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
- Audit input versus documentation and make corrections as needed.
- Perform drug calculations including basic mathematical calculations such as converting milligrams.
- Resolve issues of denials identified through adjudication and follow up on claims in Point of Sale (POS).
- Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
- Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up.
- Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers in accordance with company values.
- Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed by management.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes a pharmacy setting with a shift schedule of Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The role does not require an NC License but prefers PTCB certification. The candidate should be prepared to assist in various areas of the pharmacy as needed and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
