12th December, 2024Position: Newborn Care Specialist (NCS)Location: New York City, NYStart Date: ASAPSchedule: 12-hour day shifts, 5-6 days per weekCompensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience A family in New York City is seeking an AMAZING Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) who is available to start immediately. This is a short-term role for the next couple of months, with the possibility of transitioning into a Nanny position if desired, though it is not a requirement. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced, nurturing, and professional, with a passion for supporting families during the early months of their newborn's life. Responsibilities
  • Provide expert, hands-on care for a newborn, including feeding, diapering, bathing, and maintaining a sleep schedule.
  • Monitor the newborn's health, growth, and developmental milestones, reporting any concerns.
  • Educate and support parents on best practices for newborn care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for the baby, including keeping the nursery tidy and supplies stocked.
  • Collaborate with parents to establish routines and provide guidance on newborn care as needed.
  • Document daily activities, such as feeding schedules, sleep patterns, and development progress.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Newborn Care Specialist (or equivalent training).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in newborn care.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (pediatric focus preferred).
  • Strong understanding of newborn sleep training and developmental needs.
  • Warm, nurturing, and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, 5-6 days a week.
  • Discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Fully vaccinated and up-to-date on all immunizations, including flu and Tdap.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience transitioning into a nanny role, though not required.
  • Knowledge of infant developmental milestones and activities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to the family's specific needs.
