As an Import/Export Officer you will be responsible for:

  • Managing import/export licenses, records, and item classifications (HTS, Schedule B, EAR)
  • Determine U.S. licensing needs and assess exemptions for specific transactions.
  • Prepare essential documentation, including license applications and commodity classifications.
  • Coordinate with engineering and purchasing for accurate item classifications.
  • Oversee customs broker performance, setting compliance metrics.
  • Respond to CBP inquiries, ensuring adherence to Importer Security Filing and ADD/CVD requirements.
  • Develop procedures and train staff to maintain compliance autonomously.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Import/Export compliance
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in international trade, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
  • Must be US Persons (US citizen or permanent resident)
  • Very knowledgeable with customs regulations and trade compliance requirements
  • Experience within the aerospace industry is a plus
  • Prior experience providing training to staff of compliance and US regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and effective communication

Salary Range: $60,000-$90,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
