Our Company provides support to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to live more independently and become integrated into their communities. Our In-Home Caregivers (Support Coaches) provide support that includes, but is not limited to, driving, outings, some personal care, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and other tasks of daily living. The right people will be strong coaches, motivators, and teachers. While experience may be helpful, we will train the right people who have the heart and spirit to support our customers.

We currently have openings for various shifts with one individual in Napa County. This individual ideal caregiver will be kind, patient, have strong personal boundaries and compassionate. This is a driving position.

Caregiver/Support Coach Tasks:

  • Community integration
  • In-home daily living support as needed (cooking, cleaning, personal care, activities)
  • Driving Positions: Transport to/from medical appointments, social gatherings, activities
  • Assist with teaching life skills using love and compassion
  • Assist with medication management as needed
  • Assist with health care and nutrition as needed
  • Assist with financial planning / money management as needed
  • Assist with tracking activity schedules with customers
  • Attend monthly team meetings
  • Adhere to Injury & Illness Prevention Program.
  • Assume responsibly for all other duties as assigned by Coordinator and/or Director.
  • Assure that all symptoms of illness reported by individuals are promptly reported to the physician of their choice.
  • Assure all data collection and daily documentation is completed.

Requirements:

Experience: 1-year direct support experience with people with behavior challenges, medical involvement or psychiatric diagnosis, preferred.

  • Undergo & maintain a D.O.J. background check in accordance with local laws/regulations.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Driving positions require a clean DMV, reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, insurance and valid vehicle registration.
  • Current certification in CPR/First Aid
