We are looking for compassionate caregivers, CNAs, and/or HHAs to join Village Caregiving's growing team! We offer a competitive wage scale and W-2 for tax withholding purposes. The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, good customer service, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients in a timely manner. Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
- Companionship
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
- Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, errands, walks etc.)
- Plan and prepare meals
- Assist with physical therapy exercise
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
- Use common sense principals
Qualifications
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Timeliness and self-discipline
- Availability to meet client needs as requested
- Dependability
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (preferred)
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Supportive and compassionate
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a Caregiver (preferred)
- CNA/SRNA/HHA or completion of a CNA Program (preferred)
- Take pride in providing high quality care
- Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
