DescriptionSummary Manage Inbound Operations and Team Leads to ensure safe and efficient operations, while monitoring performance. Qualification and Experience
  • At least 5 years experience in a comparable role in Logistics
  • Experience in dedicated onsite logistics (preferable).
  • Ideally, experience in the petrochemical industry.
  • Strong Supervisory Leadership skills essential
  • Computer literate, especially in MS Office, SAP a plus
Important Personal Skill
  • Familiar with and able to work with the company's safety, quality and environmental policies and standards (advanced safety training).
  • Ability to work with deadlines.
  • Ability to cope with pressure.
  • People management qualities.
  • Logical thinker.
  • Able to plan and organize daily activities.
  • Languages: Fluent English (Spoken and Written) / other languages advantageous.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE.
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
Job Tasks
  • Maintain the highest safety standards at work and ensure an incident-free workplace.
  • Identify at-risk behavior and unsafe work conditions.
  • Close coordination with the HSSEQ Department to take immediate corrective measures.
  • Closing of all audit findings/ observations under their area of responsibility.
  • Educate employees and create a Safety mindset.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents together with HSSEQ, provide reports, and assist their respective Manager in deciding on corrective measures and presenting the investigation results to the Site and Operations Manager
  • Learn operational targets, plans, requirements, and priorities from the respective department Manager and effectively communicate them to the team members.
  • Follow up and monitor to ensure that targets are achieved. Re-prioritize tasks to take into account changing operating conditions and report deviations back to the respective department Manager/Supervisor.
  • Ensure that assigned tasks are completed within given deadlines and report completion or request an extension of the deadline with the reason for delay.
  • Ensure that housekeeping is always to the highest standard
  • Ensure quality and quantity of executed work is as defined
  • Assist in development and ensure abidance to SOP's and safety instructions
  • Supervise and ensure safe operations
  • Monitor and report operational performance regularly and point out deficiencies and provide resolution
  • Define disciplinary actions
  • Participate in daily planning meetings, if required
  • Act as the coordinator between different shifts/departments to ensure consistent communication/objectives throughout the organization.
  • All equipment needs to be efficiently utilized and well maintained.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns/grievances to resolve or escalate. Escalate to Site/Operations Manager or HR if necessary
  • Preparing and presenting performance/activity monitoring reports to the respective Manager.
  • Ensure that all Department KPIs are met
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management
