Our dedicated and passionate employees have helped our organization become one of Southern California's most innovative and progressive child development organizations, serving nearly 9,000 children throughout the San Gabriel Valley.About this positionThis position is responsible for planning and organizing referral and special needs services for the organization's Early Learning and School-age programs.What you'll be doing* Coordinating assessments and services for children with special needs;* Providing individual or small group training to site staff with children with special needs;* Collaborating with community members and school districts regarding services for children with special needs;* Maintaining detailed and accurate records on all referrals and children with special needs;* Planning and presenting workshops for parents and staff;* Reflecting program needs to the inclusion supervisor and participating in program assessments and management meetings;* Actively participating in the organization's in-service training;* Working effectively with management team members;* Using sensitivity and good judgment when interacting with children, parents, and staff;* Reading and implementing all organization and program policies and procedures;* Promoting full enrollment and participating in the recruitment of children as directed;* Assisting the inclusion supervisor;* Performing other duties as assigned.What you bring to the table* Bachelor's degree in child development, education, or other human services field;* Formal training in special education for preschool-aged children;* One year of experience delivering special education services to children with special needs;* Ability to provide guidance to parents and classroom teachers regarding children with special needs;* Current certification in pediatric CPR (annually), pediatric first aid (annually), and preventative health that is acceptable to Community Care Licensing (Health and Safety code 1596.866) is preferred (may be required as determined by site assignment to open or close);* Health screening and TB clearance (to be renewed every five years);* Proof of immunization for TDap, MMR, whooping cough, and annual influenza shot (waiver may be accepted for influenza);* Clear live scan background screening;* Completed mandated reporter certification training (to be renewed every two years);* Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral English;* Fluent in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese (preferred).What we can offer you* Medical/dental/vision for part- and full-time employees (organization pays up to 90% of employee's premiums; prorated for part-time);* Organization-paid and matching retirement plan;* Professional growth opportunities, including free child development courses and college reimbursement;* Generous and flexible PTO;* Organization-wide closure from Christmas through New Year's Day;* Dedicated, mission-driven colleagues, and much more!Job specifications* Reports to the inclusion supervisor;* Non-exempt, full-time, year-round schedule;* Eight-hour workday; four-day workweek;* Hybrid work schedule available with approval by management;* Limited evening or weekend hours may be required;* Employment, responsibilities, compensation and other factors may be affected by changes in governmental regulations, the organization's contracts, or at organization discretion.Salary* $40.00 - $50.00 per hourRequirements:Compensation details: 40-50 Hourly WagePI0e271395b45a-29400-#######4
