Incoming Parts Inspector Located in West Valley City, UT Full-time Shift: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday, occasional Fridays) Position Description We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented NC Part inspector / Quality Technician to join our quality team. This role focuses on inspecting incoming parts and performing various quality technician duties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. This position offers a full-time schedule on the day shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with some Fridays expected. Job ResponsibilitiesNon-Conformance Sorting:
- Inspect and sort non-conforming parts to identify defects and categorize them appropriately.
- Document and report issues with parts, including detailed descriptions
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper handling and disposition of sorted parts.
- Maintain organized records of sorted parts and related documentation.
Quality Technician Duties:
- Conduct IPQC inspections
- Conduct QCS inspections
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and inspection plans.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions taken.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
Experience:
- Experience in Quality Inspection: 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Understanding of Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of machining, assembly, or other relevant manufacturing processes
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Critical for identifying defects and ensuring products meet
- specifications.
- Measurement Tools Proficiency: Experience with calipers, micrometers, CMMs
- (Coordinate Measuring Machines), and other precision measuring instruments.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and
- specifications.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Skill in identifying and addressing quality issues.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Competence in using software for recording inspection
- results, Microsoft Excel or quality management software.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly report findings and collaborate with
- production and engineering teams.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle small parts and tools.
- Visual Acuity: Good eyesight, often necessary for detailed inspection work.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
