This role would have the opportunity to negotiate with over 150 suppliers, up to $250 million annually in contracts. The ideal candidate will be expected to bring new ideas, identify savings opportunities, and communicate effectively across relevant departments.Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with suppliers and support local teams on price comparisons across the factories and group
  • Ensure Dreyer's get the best price for services and indirect spends across the factories
  • Agree and manage contracts
  • Integrate new buyers and train in the Froneri way
  • Ensure Group supply chain coherence, by liaising and managing new contracts across relevant departments
  • Keep up to date with current markets, influences, and opportunities
  • Awareness of commercial impact on the business of relevant agreements;
  • Create and manage budgets for indirect spend

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, logistics, business management or Engineering
  • Strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • 2-4 years demonstrated experience working in Procurement/Supply Chain in manufacturing
  • ERP system experience required, JDE preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
