Individual Supports Staff - Multicultural Community Services Of The Pioneer Valley : Job Details

Location: Varies. Springfield, Monson, South Hadley, Westfield, Wilbraham Supervisor: Gina Montemagni

Summary: MCS provides support staff to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and autism. Our program is looking for dependable and caring staff with reliable transportation to work with individuals who live on their own with our assistance.

Hours: Part-Time Hours vary depending on your availability (3 to 20 hours weekly).

Flexible Schedule, 1st and 2nd shift, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Taking out individuals into the community for recreational activities, i.e. bowling, mini, golf, movies, gym, six flags, etc.
• Companionship, medical appointments, shopping, teaching daily life skills, cooking and meal preparations.
• Assistance with cleaning, transportation, and vacation/day trips (Individual or MCS will cover cost).
• Each individual has different needs. Other duties may be added based on individual needs.
• Light paperwork and documentation will be required.
• Maintain quality programming through adherence to agency standards and DDS regulations

Trainings required for this position:

All trainings will be provided and paid for by MCS. CPR & First Aid, Safety Care, Human Rights and Mandated Reporting. Staff is reimbursed for mileage and recreational activities with the individual.

Required qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass CORI and fingerprinting check.
