Individualized Home Support Specialist (IHSS) - Minneapolis BrightPath LLC Pay Rate: $19 - $25 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Weekly Hours: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) Are you a reliable, detail-oriented individual who thrives on routine and enjoys helping others manage their day-to-day tasks? BrightPath LLC is seeking a Patient, Communicative, and Dependable Individualized Home Support Specialist (IHSS) to provide structured support for a client in Minneapolis. If you appreciate clear routines, have excellent communication skills, and are comfortable with pets, this role could be a great fit. About the Role You'll be supporting an individual who values structure and enjoys hobbies like music, collecting items, and engaging with weather-related topics. Punctuality is a must in this role, as the client depends on a reliable routine to feel secure. You'll be helping with household management tasks, organizing, and maintaining a stable environment. A family member lives nearby and is part of the client's support network, so maintaining open and clear communication is important. You'll also need to be comfortable with pets, as the household includes a dog. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys consistent communication, setting clear boundaries, and providing positive guidance. Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain consistent support, ensuring routines are followed to provide a sense of security
  • Assist with household management tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and general home upkeep
  • Engage with the client's interests, such as music and weather-related activities
  • Communicate regularly with both the client and their family to ensure smooth coordination
  • Provide positive redirection when needed to help the client stay focused on tasks
  • Follow specific guidelines and routines established for the client's care
  • Be punctual for all shifts, as timeliness is essential to the client's well-being
  • Be comfortable around pets and assist as needed with light pet care tasks
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
  • Ability to pass required background checks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be punctual and able to follow established routines precisely
  • Patience and ability to set clear boundaries
  • Comfortable working in a home with a pet
  • Experience working with individuals who thrive on structure and routine is a plus
