System One is assisting a client in Hubbard, Ohio in finding Induction Furnace Operators. $1,000 Sign-On Bonus $19/hr Continental shift - work 3 off 2; work 2 off 3;work 2 off 2; 7AM-7PM The role of the Induction Furnace operator is to perform tasks related to casting Aluminum, preparing the casting area for production, beginning and maintaining the cast, collecting samples, and aiding other departments as needed. Unloads and examines incoming shipments with appropriate methods, rejects damaged or incorrect items, records shortages, and communicates with General Manager about damages and shortages. Loads scrap conveyor - Ensure scrap segregation - Ensure proper heat identification. - Uses forklifts, bob cats, and other material handling equipment to perform duties and move product where necessary. - Ensures housekeeping and organization are upheld. Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. - Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire, Visa sponsorship is not available for this position - Must pass minimal physical test and background screening - Candidates must be able to work any shift (will need to specify what the shifts are) - Physical effort required by the job includes standing, stooping, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds - Willingness to cross train Skills and Abilities - Ability to identify problems, inform others, and assist in the solving of such problems - Drive mobile equipment related to material handling - Ability to read and interpret work documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality instructions, and other related documents. - Ability to work with others as a team Licenses or Certifications If driving is required to complete the essential functions of this position, a valid driver's license is required Must satisfactorily complete the Ellwood Aluminum Crane and Forklift certification training programs Safety - Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules - Promotes a safety culture and ensures compliance with safety policies and rules, - Safety improvement – Provides for continuous reduction of workplace hazards, risks, employee accidents.
