As an Industrial Project Manager II, you'll manage multiple construction projects of lesser to medium complexity, with small to medium budgets. We are looking for: - a BS in engineering, building science or related field is a plus - 8+ Industrial construction management experience, with at least 2+ years of warehouse automation
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, processes and project management principles
- Familiarity with food and beverage safety standards
- Outstanding communication, organizational and time management skills What is the work? Project Management: - Manages multiple, highly complex mid to large capital projects - Manages all aspects of project development. Collaborates with H-E-B business unit, all Manufacturing, Warehouse and Transportation divisions, governing agencies (AHJs) and vendors - Develops project scope, budget, and schedule with appropriate internal customer(s) - Prepares request for proposal (RFP) - Coordinates / conducts project inspections during construction; reports on project status - Ensures project cost control with a focus on cost reduction; assists in producing cost estimates and preliminary budgets - Manages bid process for all projects - Manages project scheduling and compliance - Facilitates change management process What is your background? - A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience within Industrial food and beverage construction - 8+ years of construction management, or related experience - PMP certification (preferred) Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Industrial Project Leader? - Intermediate working knowledge of building design and construction - Intermediate knowledge of the industrial business - Intermediate organization, analytical, and decision-making skills - Leadership skills; service / team orientation - Verbal / written communication skills - Interpersonal and collaboration skills - Proficient computer skills - Ability to manage multiple projects of light to medium complexity - Propriety when handling confidential and sensitive information - Adaptability in a changing environment Can you... - Function in a fast-paced environment - Travel by car or plane with overnight stays - Negotiate all project site areas in all phases of construction, with physical mobility - Sit / stand for extended periods - Regularly lift up to 20 lbs - Use arms / hands in repetitive motions with hand / finger dexterity - Work extended hours, as required 08-2020
