Job Description :

Industrial Maintenance Supervisor Purpose: The Maintenance Supervisor provides direction on the preventative maintenance program to maintain equipment, while working in a heavy manufacturing union environment.

Skill Requirements:
  • General understanding of PCs and related Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Sound communication to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills Primary Duties:
    • Supervise workflow; including schedules, ordering of parts, paperwork, housekeeping and waste reduction
    • Directs preventative maintenance program with proper scheduling and requirements to maintain equipment and facilities
    • Assist in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems/components
    • Ensures equipment condition at end of work order is proper and in safe-working order
    • Responsible for compliance with all quality efforts in maintenance through proper use of work instructions, processes and procedures
    • Drive data integrity throughout all involved processes, procedures and equipment
    • Coordinate efforts between maintenance and production to minimize delays and downtime on machines
    • Expected to follow all safety rules and policies and work in a manner that protects themselves and other stakeholders from hazards and injuries
    • Ensure all work procedures and practices are in accordance with established safety policies
    • Ensure safety of employees and equipment that employees work with and on at all times
    • Responsible for establishing and maintaining sound employee relations
    • Maintain departmental records
    Education/Experience Requirements:
    • Associate's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology; or 5 years of industrial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Leadership and Supervisory skills in a heavy manufacturing environment
    • Union Supervisory experience is strongly preferred
    • Metal Fabrication industry experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulics
    with the ability to plan and schedule work
