Labor Staffers is recruiting for a full-time direct hire role in the Tyrone, PA area.

Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Production Maintenance

  • Support 2nd shift production as needed to troubleshoot and repair equipment back to a safe and proper working condition
  • Perform regularly scheduled Preventive Maintenance on equipment at multiple locations in coordination with the CMMS
  • Interact with CMMS via PM's, repairs and reporting information into the system for record keeping, tracking and measures
  • Integrate with other maintenance professionals in support of multi-shift production operation to achieve output, quality and financial performance goals and objectives
  • Ensure machine uptimes and process capabilities will meet quality and production schedules
  • Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls
  • Installation of power distribution equipment as needed including sub panels, conduit, wiring, etc
  • Troubleshoot and maintain complex machine control systems including drives, relays, machine network, and PLC systems
  • Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems such as motors, gearboxes, and other power transmission systems
  • Participate in the management of critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability as needed
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering by fabricating, debugging and installing custom designed equipment via the use of machining centers (lathes, CNC), plasma cutting, welding and other equipment

Candidate Qualifications:

  • 5 years related experience in production maintenance environment
  • Motor drive and PLC tech level experience, Certifications a plus
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) and industrial power systems
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic power systems knowledge
  • Familiarity with various hand and maintenance shop tools -micrometers, calipers and tape measure, etc
  • Experience with reading design drawings for the purpose of fabrication
  • Ability to read CAD drawings – mechanical / electrical
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and fractions
  • MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to seek out and achieve position related training and/or certifications
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited daily supervision
