SUMMARYAbility to rotate shift schedule*Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs any plant mechanical, structural, hydraulic or pneumatic.equipment according to accepted codes and safety standards. Position makes necessary decisions,according to skill level, in carrying out all job functions to the fullest extent when working withoutdirect supervision. Position will be able to demonstrate skills in power transmission, air systems,piping, hydraulics, pumps, troubleshooting components welding, alignment procedures, rigging andmillwright work, motor controls, electrical symbols and theory in the above skill levels.Responsibilities:Provide support to the Maintenance Leader, Planner/Scheduler, and shift leaders on jobs tobe performed.Performs PM's as they are scheduled.Reports all equipment concerns to their leaders.A good understanding of structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic system.Performs all equipment repairs and projects in a safe and efficient manner using all safetyprocedures.Answer line calls in a prompt manner and carry required tools to complete work safety andefficiently.Assist during process upsets as needed.Basic welding skill preferred but not required.Wear all safety equipment necessary for the job and follow all plant safety rules andregulations, including the machinery lockout procedure.Follow the scheduled jobs unless given approval to deviate from the schedule.Clean up immediately after a job is completed and maintain a quality house-cleaningprogram.Attend schools, seminars, etc. to enhance skills in the various crafts including mechanical,electrical, PLC, machining, and welding.Ability to rotate shift schedule.Keep the parts and tool rooms organized and cleaned.Work with other employees in a team like manner.Notify your supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss accident or on-the-job injurywhen it occurs no matter how insignificant it may seemOperate equipment only when you are trained in its use or are working with or under thedirection of a qualified employee, and you are authorized to do so by your supervisor.Always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).SKILLS AND ABILITIESPossess skills in the machining and / or electrical fieldOverall record: Performance, attendance, etc. will be consideredWrite and speak EnglishAble to work second or third shift as scheduledAbility to attend mandatory training classes on own time to stay current with equipmentchanges and as determined by the Maintenance Development Program.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED equivalencyTwo (2) years' experience in the mechanical field is preferred in an industrial ormanufacturing environment.BenefitsDental, Vision and medical insurance starng day 1 of employment$.75 shift differential for second shift and $1.00 for third shiftTime and a half for overtime past 40 hours, double me on SundaysWellness programs and incentive credits, gym membership reimbursementCompany paid life insurance and AD&D insuranceCompany paid disability insurance401k, 6% company match plus an additional 2% company paidEmployee stock purchase plan12 Paid holidays per year plus personal daysCompany provided safety boots & coveralls after 60daysVariable Incentive Program (VIP)Paid vacation after 1 yearEmployee & dependent scholarshipsEmployee Assistance ProgramVendor discountsReferral program*About Elite Technical Recruiting: *Elite Technical Recruiting is a Direct Placement firm partnering with manufacturing companies, successfully placing Skilled Trades and Engineering professionals.
