Canadian Executive Search Group (USA), a division of Arrow Workforce Solutions, is now hiring Industrial Painters on 1st shift for our client in the Industrial industry located in Thomasville, GA Start date: ASAP! Pay rate: $18/hr Shifts: 1st shift 5am-2:30pm Monday - Friday Location: Thomasville, GA Position Summary: Industrial Painters will Prep, sandblast, and apply protective and/or decorative paint finishes to prepared surfaces on a variety of products to meet specifications. Formulate, test, mix and apply liquid coatings to meet specifications. Must have experience with conventional and painting techniques specific to manufacturing needs. Must have 1 year experience as an industrial painter. Responsibilities:

• Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
• Preparation of surfaces for painting: includes sanding, cleaning off contaminants, and taping areas not to be painted.
• Reads and understands paint specifications and product data sheets for a variety of paint manufacturers.
• Selects and properly mixes paint for project according to specifications.
• Keeps work area, paint equipment, and tools clean, orderly and in good working condition.
• Contributes to division results and performance.
• Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.

Requirements:

• Must be familiar with conventional and painting techniques specific to manufacturing needs. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, charts and schematics. Must be dependable and work effectively under pressure, often independently. Must be able to pass a yearly pulmonary function test.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees. Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing job shop environment.
