Description The Maintenance C position is a maintenance and repair position with focused responsibility for grinders, material blenders, material handling and conveying systems with additional responsibilities for PM's and repair of molding presses and secondary equipment. They will support other maintenance associates in their day to day activities; preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of assigned equipment. This position requires good basic skills for mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics. May not have any industrial maintenance certification however, history of working in such a position is encouraged. Need to be able to lift moderate to heavy objects, no limit on weight, but must use good judgment on how things are moved. Essential Duties:
- Preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of grinders, material blenders and the material handling and conveying systems.
- Preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Record keeping of PM and repairs performed.
- Use prints, operating manuals, sketches, and diagrams to dismantle, assemble, trouble shoot or repair.
- Communicate equipment problems or unfinished jobs to next shift of maintenance and production supervisor.
- Communicate with OEM service representatives to aid in part ordering and problem solving.
- Watch for and report / repair safety hazards immediately.
- Must be proficient in trouble shooting skills and ability to repair / rebuild the material conveying systems, support equipment and to assist other maintenance associates.
- Must possess a Flambeau Inc. issued forklift license.
- Must know and be qualified in the company's LOTO procedures.
- Report needs for maintenance and supplies.
- Communicate equipment problems or unfinished jobs to next shift of maintenance and production supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Education and/or equivalent experience. Would prefer two year experience in Industrial Maintenance.
- Pass required company skill level testing.
- Proficiency in hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and machine manuals
- Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and the division of numbers including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments; checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data; where interpretation is required involving basic knowledge.
- Process knowledge of programmable logic control (PLC)
- Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools and materials used in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and machinery.
- Working knowledge of plastic molding machine operations.
- Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to do the work.
- Ability to operate the more common types of machine shop equipment.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Quality and quantity performance standards under normal supervision should be attained from one to three years.
- Combination of experience, training, and education for working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools and materials used in the general maintenance and repair of building, equipment and machinery.
- Continuously lifting or moving material of light weight (up to 10 #).
- Frequently lifting or moving average weight material (between 25# to 60#).
- Occasionally lifting or moving heavy weight material (over 60#).
- Must be able to climb equipment, ladders and steep stairs.
- Sufficient strength, agility and dexterity to perform required task.
