EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
+ Required: Associates degree in Early Childhood education, Child Development or related field from a two-year accredited college or university
+ Preferred: Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
+ Required: Certified or have the ability to become certified in Infant, Child and Adult CPR & First Aid
+ Preferred: Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate Certificate
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties must be performed on site. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Providing a safe and nurturing environment for each child
+ Lifting, diapering, feeding, washing, and sitting on the floor with children
+ Using the Highscope curriculum for weekly lesson planning
+ Administering formal and informal child assessments including Teaching Strategies GOLD and ASQ-3
+ Developing support staff roles and responsibilities for the classroom
+ Completing paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion
+ Participating in ongoing professional growth and training
+ Maintaining respect at all times for confidentiality
+ Completing necessary State and Federal reports
+ Communicating with parents/guardians to discuss progress and/or concerns in a timely manner
+ Communicating daily with parents/guardians
+ Documenting and share the important milestones in their childs day
+ Creating and leading a supportive, nurturing learning environment that encourages responsibility and motivation
