Salary: Up to $85,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

As our Infection Control Preventionist, you will:

  • Evaluate resident care and outcomes related to healthcare-associated infections.
  • Collect, analyze, and present infection data, offering actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure staff compliance with infection prevention practices and protective measures.
  • Develop and lead educational programs for staff on infection control.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for all departments on infection prevention.
  • Implement programs to safeguard residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Establish policies and procedures to minimize risks and adverse events.
  • Oversee timely reporting of infection-related data to appropriate channels.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations, guidelines, and accreditation standards.
What You'll Need

Education:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in Iowa.

Experience & Certifications:

  • Prior experience in long-term care (preferred).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Completion of basic training for Infection Control Certification (desired).
  • Strong ability to develop policies, teach, and evaluate clinical performance.
