Job Description: Infection Control/ Quality Assurance (QA) Nurse delivers management-level support for the nursing team. They are responsible for the management and quality of nursing services in the facility working directly with the Director of Nursing, this position is responsible for the oversight of infection control and quality assurance in the facility based on both state-mandated regulations and facility policies and procedures.Some Responsibilities of Infection Control/ Quality Assurance (QA) Nurse:Assists the Director of Nursing as needed and confers on key issues affecting infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship in the Nursing Department.Evaluate the need for Education.Responsible for ensuring quality care of all nursing units on all shifts.Initiates quality improvement programs and completes various audits.Coordinates facility-wide infection control program and maintains records of infection control audits and QA Audits in the Nursing Department.In-house staff supporter for infection control to ensure proper infection control guidelines are followed and that staff is educated asMedford Multicare Care is a 320-bed premier skilled nursing facility, providing comprehensive inpatient care to our residents.
