Hiring Agency General Government Cabinet | Department of Military Affairs Location 100 Minuteman Parkway Emergency Operations Center Building Boone National Guard Center Frankfort, KY 40601 USA Description We want you to help our strength in numbers! The Office of Management and Administration is hiring an Information Officer II position that performsprofessional journalistic functions in the development, implementation, and distribution of informationalprograms and materials in various formats, which may include social media, to make the publicaware of the programs and services available through state government agencies. Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide direct advertising support with the primary purpose of generating awareness and leads in support of KY Army National Guard (KYANG) end-strength mission achievement.
  • Assist in planning and executing local and state-wide marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with vendors and media outlets for advertising placements.
  • * Track campaign performance.
  • Compile reports for review to include National Guard Bureau (NGB) market assessment data and IKROME market share reports.
  • Advise supervisor on all marketing efforts to ensure execution is within applicable regulatory guidance.
  • Analyze and provide continuous feedback for the Recruiting and Retention Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) marketing efforts.
  • Develop geotargeted campaigns to assist in various areas across the Commonwealth.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of state marketing efforts and materials by consulting with members of the Recruiting Retention Battalion.
  • Develop proposals and recommendations for improvement and advise the Marketing Non Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC).
  • Assist in organizing recruiting events, including job fairs, community outreach programs and public appearances.
  • Coordinate logistics such as venue booking, equipment placement and promotional material distribution.
  • Coordinate production of recruiting promotional items and personal presentation items that align with state marketing objectives.
  • Maintain marketing databases and contact lists.
  • Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting for marketing activities.
Minimum Requirements EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Two years of experience in journalism, public relations, or experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this job title series. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Experience in one of the above areas will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
